Welcome
Denver Knee, Foot, Hip & Back Doctor
Welcome to the Denver Foot Mechanic! We are a Colorado-based company that specializes in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of lower extremity pain and injuries including back pain, foot pain, hip pain and knee pain related to overuse and biomechanical abnormalities. Nearly all of us have some sort of “biomechanical abnormality”. Put more simply, we all tend to move in a way that it is not ideal and, over time, this can put stress on various parts of our body – bones, joints, muscles, tendons – which ultimately may cause pain and possible injury.
Our mission is to help our Denver, Colorado patients clearly understand the biomechanical cause of their back, hip, knee, ankle and foot pain, and to provide customized recommendations regarding prevention and treatment. We firmly believe that the majority of pain and injuries can be addressed by modifying an individual’s biomechanics. Simply put, errant mechanics can be altered so that they are more in line with what is considered ideal.
The Foot Mechanic is unique in that we use a Sports Medicine-based, multi-disciplinary approach to evaluating, diagnosing, and treating lower extremity pain and injuries. All of our Foot Mechanics are Doctoral level (DPT) Physical Therapists who combine traditional orthopedic evaluations with digital video and dynamic force plate analysis. This approach allows us to capture an extremely accurate view as to the structure of your lower extremities, how you move, and how your weight is dynamically distributed. This information is used to diagnosis your unique problem, and when appropriate, prescribe a biomechanically correct custom orthotic. These orthotics will effectively alter your mechanics, unload the damaged tissue and help treat your pain or injury.
Our goal is to eliminate your pain, help heal your injury, and allow you to comfortably perform whatever activities you may enjoy. To that end, we follow up with each and every client at 6 weeks, 6 months, and 12 months to ensure that your Custom Orthotics are having the desired effect. And of course, we are available at any time to answer questions or make adjustments.
Take a moment to learn more about what may be causing your particular problem, our evaluation process, and what a few of our satisfied clients have to say. Then schedule an appointment to receive your custom evaluation – we guarantee that you will not be disappointed!
Wishing you good health, the Foot Mechanic Team.
