Biomechanical studies conclude that contact pressures during running exceed 3-5 times your body weight. If you couple this weight loading with the volume of steps (number of steps/run), it becomes apparent how overuse injuries occur. Simply stated, a faulty biomechanic in walking may never become symptomatic. However, in running the slightest biomechanical abnormality can creep up and ultimately keep you from training. Running orthotics put your feet in the ideal position for weight transfer. If made correctly, an orthotic will unload tissues that are abnormally stressed, and, normalize foot-ankle-knee-hip biomechanics. Read more about our extensive evaluation process!
