Abnormal biomechanics if present, do not occur only during athletic activities: They are present with every step you take! For each individual, we must look at the volume of time spent on your feet. Most people exercise less than an hour every day. However, at work you are on your feet for six, eight, and even ten hours per day! An orthotic alters the foot by putting it in the ideal position for weight transfer. If made correctly, an orthotic will unload tissues that are abnormally stressed and normalize foot-ankle-knee-hip biomechanics. Dress orthotics are an excellent option for addressing your lower extremity problems throughout your non-exercising hours. Read more about our extensive evaluation process!
